Best Practices and Model Reviews

Applied Social Research Unit (ASRU) staff members review information from public agencies, private foundations, national and state associations, and other researchers and practitioners to inform its projects and clients and avoid duplicating effort. Review of best practices, models, and other professional literature helps ASRU staff members:

• plan and implement project activities;
• define concepts and processes;
• contextualize research findings;
• suggest approaches to problem-solving, planning, administration, and service delivery; and
• determine possible uses of community and organizational capacity.
